Who we are

cadiz.org is an independent guide to the province of Cádiz made by CadizNet (Cádiz, España). We want anyone planning a trip, living here or simply curious about the “Tacita de Plata” to find the essentials of the province in one place: what to see, what to eat, when to go and what is happening, explained clearly and with sources.

cadiz.org is not the official website of any authority and is not linked to Cádiz City Council, the Provincial Council or the Junta de Andalucía.

How we write

• We rely on official sources (tourist boards, town councils, regulatory councils, AEMET) and reference works. Each page lists its sources at the end and shows when it was last updated.
• Photos come from Wikimedia Commons under free licences; each carries its author and licence, and the full list is in photo credits.
• We review content at least once a year.
• No sponsored content: no hotel, restaurant or company pays to appear in the guide.

How we select news

The news section is updated automatically from the public RSS feeds of the sources below. A program filters headlines about tourism in Cádiz, classifies them and removes duplicates.

• We only show the headline, a short excerpt and a link to the original article; the full content belongs to each publisher.
• Stories from Spanish media are shown with their headline and excerpt machine-translated into English (“Machine translation” label); the link takes you to the original.
• News items are not reviewed by cadiz.org: each source is responsible for its content.
